Private Networks

Unlike public networks, which are open to everyone, private networks are secure and controlled environments. They offer enhanced security, better performance, and more control over how data is managed and accessed.

Not to be confused with a network slice, which is your own logical segment of a public network that gives you opportunities without the need for your own physical private network.

What is Private Networks

A private network is a dedicated network that is exclusively used by a specific organization or group.

Technical Specifications

  • Ultra-low latency: as low as 1ms
  • High throughputs
  • High data speed: 10 Gbps
  • Edge computing to support real time data processing closer to the devices
  • Enhanced access control and guaranteed service quality
  • Enables customized virtual networks in the form of network slicing to enable specific use cases
  • Can be operated on licensed, unlicensed or shared spectrum (n77, n78)

With ultra-low latency and much higher data speeds, private networks are better suited for applications like real-time automation, robotics, and AI-driven analytics. Additionally, 5G’s improved spectral efficiency and support for massive IoT connections allow businesses to scale their networks efficiently while maintaining high performance and security.
